Today's Animal Of the Day Is...........

Sammy

Sammy is a young(1-2years) Min. Pin mix. He is fully grown and such a sweet boy!! He loves to play and would benefit from a fenced in yard. Sammy was rescued from a HIGH kill-shelter down south. He was due to be put to sleep, but with a day or two to spear his foster family spoke up to take him! Purrs N Pups was then able to have him transported up into our rescue! His foster family is his current Hero, but he need just one last "Hero" Sammy needs a home to call his own! His foster family needs to keep saving more animals like Sammy, but they can only do this if Sammy is adopted!! Will you Adopt Sammy? He would love to have another dog playmate or some kids that he can play with!! He really is such a good boy!!

Happy/Taco the Chihuahua needs a foster

Happy would do best in a foster home with either small dogs or no dogs.  Unfortunately he is overwhelmed by bigger dogs (or maybe it’s the large number of dogs) and thinks he has to stake his claim by growling at them.  He is very sweet to me and is dying for more attention.  He is a real cutie and dances on his back feet while waving his front feet at you for attention.

WV Transport Plans- Fosters Needed

 Volunteers are planning a transport to West Virginia on October 22/23.  They hope to arrive back in NJ between 7-8 pm on Sunday evening.  They are hoping that by giving everyone advance notice, you will be able to let us know if and what you would be willing to foster.  Please email me your preferences (litter, single pup, pup pair, adult, pregnant etc.)  so we can get an idea of what we can bring back…and if we have enough wonderful foster homes available to make the trip worthwhile!

Will  You please help us find a foster home for This family??

They are a litter of 5. The vet in VA has said they are approx. 9-10 weeks old. He also thinks they are Blue tick hound Mixes. If these pups do not find a foster home they will never make it out of the shelter!!!

This litter can go to a foster family all together or may be separated 2 and 3.

Maybe you and your friend can try something new together?? One of you can take two pups while the other takes 3??? Even if you would only like to foster until these guys are adopted, you will still be saving 5 lives!! And those 5 lives will mean every thing!! :)

Animal Of the Day

Today is October 11, 2011, and the AOTD is.............

Roscoe

This is Roscoe. He was rescue from a high-kill shelter when he was just a pup. He was adopted out when he was young to what he thought would be his forever home. After about a year his "family" decided that he just had too much energy for the nine year old dog living with him. Roscoe is a really gentle boy. He loves kids and is great with other dogs. Roscoe has never been around cat, so we do not know how he would react. After a good walk or a run in a yard, Roscoe will settle down....he is still young! Roscoe is a Large breed dog, he is strong...but gentle. Roscoe has no signs of food aggression with people or other dogs. He really is a sweet dog. Roscoe currently does not have a foster home and is being boarded at a local kennel. Roscoe would love to find a foster home...or and adoptive home!!! Please Help Roscoe is really is such a great boy!!!

Today's Animal of the Day is.............

Walter

Just Look at his face! Don't you just fall in love with that hound face?? Walter and his sister and brother were rescued from a kill shelter down south. Can you believe someone didn't want him? He is just so smart and loves everyone! Walter gets along well with other dogs and is good around kids. Walter is both crate trained and paper trained and is quickly getting the hang of house training. Walter is about 4 1/2 months old would would love a home to call his own!!! Will you please help Walter find his forever home?? Or would you like to support alter while he is in foster care?
